京都の中心地、烏丸エリア「三井ガーデンホテル京都新町 別邸」1階に佇む、古い蔵と中庭を臨む和食レストラン「居様 / IZAMA」。暖簾をくぐると建築家、永山祐子が手がけた和モダンの世界が広がります。薄い漆喰の白い壁、ろうそくのような幻想的な光を放つ真鍮のロングテーブル、既存の蔵を生かした離れの静寂な空間、四季折々豊かな表情を見せる庭など見所が満載です。料理監修に日本料理の巨匠、神田川俊郎氏を迎え、朝は京都で昔から作られてきた家庭料理「おばんざい」を中心としたブッフェ、昼は旬の食材を使った様々な種類のおばんざいを少しずつ味わえる「9種のおばんざい御膳」などの御膳料理、夕食は薬味と一緒に食べるしゃぶしゃぶや日本料理を。京都の街とともに、職人による美しい食卓を味わいに是非いらしてください。

With a view of an old storehouse and courtyard, Japanese restaurant IZAMA is waiting for you on the 1st floor of the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei, located in the Karasuma area at the center of Kyoto.
The modern space designed by architect Yuko Nagayama will surely captivate those who visit.
There are so many things for you to see, including thinly-plastered white walls, a long brass table that gives off a dreamy, candle-like light, a serene annex that utilizes the existing storehouse, flower arrangements that are changed for each season, and the garden that shows different expressions unique to each of the four seasons.
Breakfast is served from 6:30am, and you can enjoy Obanzai, traditional home-cooked dishes of Kyoto, in a buffet style.
For lunch, platter meals such as "9 Kinds of Obanzai Platter" are popular as you can enjoy small portions of various Obanzai made with seasonal ingredients.
For dinner, Japanese cuisine and traditional Shabushabu are available so you can enjoy the dining experience from morning till night.

About "Obanzai"
Obanzai is the traditional home style cooking of Kyoto. It is made up of multiple small dishes that are usually quite simple to prepare. Local produce that is in season is best suited for these dishes. Although the cooking methods are usually not complicated, obanzai dishes can be made very rich by chefs skillfully bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients.

About "Shabushabu"
Shabushabu is popular food in winter and popular among foreigners too. 
Sliced beef, sliced pork, vegetables, and tofu are cooked in boiling soup stock in a pan on the table. It is eaten after being dipped in a special sauce.
